We invest ourselves in relationships and through those investments pieces are left behind. Those pieces are sometimes never returned because of someone’s impact on your life and the memories are all that remain. This series investigates the locations where I have memories of a past relationship.

The images were shot with a Holga camera and 120 medium format film. I chose to use the Holga because of its known aesthetic to produce softer images that are often blurry with edge vignetting and uncontrollable light leaks. This aesthetic connects with the concept of memory and how over time they become less clear and more dreamlike.
